The second teaching builds on the initial field of care meditation by taking the gifts we receive and offering these blessings to others. This guided visualization practice allows us to build and extend the field of care not only to our loved ones but also to the souls we come in contact with every day.
All who find happiness in this world have done so by wishing for the happiness of many others. All who find unhappiness in this world have done so by aiming just for their own happiness.

About Nanda Nina Lynch
Nanda Nina Lynch was ordained by Fugen Roshi. She leads Hon Shin Zen in southern Portugal and hosts regular in-person zazen and online sessions. She is a Certified Mondo Zen facilitator and offers daisan and zen life coaching. She is an active Shining Bright Lotus Meditation Society board member.
