Course Outline
Qi Flow: Mastering the five standing poses of Zhan Zhuang in 10 weeks
The Zhan Zhuang qi gong set, also referred to as “standing like a tree,” “standing meditation” or “standing post” qi gong consists of five individual exercises. These static poses and breathing techniques can stimulate your immune system, strengthen your internal organs and increase your energy levels. With regular practice, Zhan Zhuang builds up and releases an extraordinary flow of natural energy that is dormant inside of us and raises the body and mind to remarkable levels of fitness.
Over this ten-week course, you will be introduced to the five individual standing postures sequentially, gradually building your practice of the entire set. Correct warm up and cool down exercises will be taught, as well as how to adapt the five postures appropriately for any injuries or physical limitations.
We will also study the microcosmic orbit and the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine and examine how each exercise of the set affects a specific meridian.

Alongside his spiritual pursuits, Ensō has dedicated the past 20 years to the practice of Lima Lama martial arts and more recently, has delved into the study and practice of Qigong, further deepening his understanding of the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.
