Online
On Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12th, we will have two half-day zazen retreat sessions in honor of our Dharma brothers and sisters who will be at the Gently Sitting Like a Stone sesshin at All Nations Gathering Center in South Dakota.
If you are joining us for a single day, please come at the beginning of the period, not in the middle. If you are new to zazen and sitting online with us, please contact Nanda before October 11th at honshinzen@gmail.com or join the call before the first session begins.
Everyone is welcome.
There is no fee for this event.
We encourage gifts to Hon Shin Zen.
“The Great Way is embracing and spacious -
to live in it is neither easy nor difficult.
Those who rely on limited views are fearful and irresolute:
the faster they hurry, the slower they go.
To have a narrow mind, and to be attached to getting enlightenment
is to lose one’s center and go astray.
When one is free from attachment, all things are as they are,
and there is neither coming or going.”
(from the Hsin Hsin Ming, or Book of Nothing, by Seng-ts’an, trans Richard B. Clarke)
