Precepts Basics

with Ming Po Larry Matthews

Monday, August 31st

7:30 pm - 8:30 pm ET (New York)

Online

Designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners curious about the ethical structure offered by the eleven precepts of SBLMS. Committing to living by the precepts is both part of the Eightfold Path and the Six Paramitas.

Participants will explore how the precepts function in daily life and how precepts are invitations rather than commandments by reviewing the precepts as practical insights.

This session also serves as an orientation for those interested in stream entry or Jukai. Offered four times a year, this program is part of the Cosmopolitan Zen Basics program that introduces newcomers to a variety of practice commonly used in our programs.

Cosmopolitan Zen Basics is open to anyone.

There is no fee for this event.‍ ‍A donation is requested.‍ ‍
