Committing to our values as a community strengthens our ability to embody our ideals. We pleased to be offering a quarterly online ceremony where we can connect and commit together.
The vows we take as practitioners are central to growth on the Buddhist path. At the time of Shakyamuni Buddha, members of the sangha would retake the precepts every fortnight, reflecting on areas in which they had done well in keeping their vows and areas in which they hoped to improve going forward. This is an opportunity to reflect on our growth, recommit to our intentions and solidify our commitment to taking refuge in the Three Jewels of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha together.
Join society members and leaders as they guide the collective through chanting, prayer, meditation. No experience necessary.
The Precepts Renewal Ceremony is open to anyone.
There is no fee for this event.
