The Eightfold Path - Fall Practice Period 2026
Right Effort
Dharma Talk by Daiden Dan Pecaut
Saturday, November 14th
9:00 am - 11:00 am ET (New York)
Online
Right Effort is paying attention to what you are cultivating. The traditional teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha on Right Effort include four right efforts: prevent unwholesome states from arising, abandon unwholesome states that have arisen, cultivate wholesome states that have not yet arisen, and sustain and deepen wholesome states that have arisen. Daiden Dan Pecaut Roshi will take up this topic in our seventh step of the Eightfold Path.
“Brute force is not going to take nibbana by storm.”
- Thanissarro Bhikkhu
The Fall Practice Period is open to anyone.
There is no fee for this event. A donation is requested.
