When the Buddha Needs Therapy - Fall Practice Period 2025
Can anyone make you angry?
Dharma Talk by Shunya Prajna Lynn Hyer
Saturday, November 8th
10:00 am - 12:00 pm ET (New York)
Online
“What do you really care about?” asks Jun Po Roshi when anger or fear appears. Our text digs into feelings as information. With this in mind, Zen practice includes rather than avoids the arising of strong emotions such as anger, fear and sadness. With a healthy zazen practice, one can have a choice as to whether one reacts with anger or responds to the anger arising with an enlightened view. Shunya Lynn Hyer will offer the dharma reflection this week which will include a discussion by participants. After a short break you are invited to our weekly morning service and zazen practice.
The Fall Practice Period is open to anyone.
There is no fee for this event. A donation is requested.
