Eight Brocades Qigong

Eight Brocades Qigong

with Jozen Jonathan Fielder

Eight Week Online Program

March 28th - May 23rd, 2026

Saturdays: 9:00 am ET - 9:45 am ET (New York)

Course Outline

The Eight Brocades Qigong set, also referred to as Eight Pieces of Brocade Qigong (Ba Duan Jin Qigong) originates from the Song Dynasty in China. Consisting of eight individual exercises, these gentle stretches and breathing techniques can stimulate your immune system, strengthen your internal organs, and increase your energy levels. Often referred to as meditation in motion, these fluid movements will also help you with your meditation practice, both on and off the cushion.

Over this six week course, you will be introduced to the eight individual exercises sequentially, gradually building your practice of the entire set. Correct warm up and cool down exercises will be taught, as well as how to adapt the eight brocades appropriately for any injuries or physical limitations.

We will also study the microcosmic orbit and the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and examine how each exercise of the set affects a specific meridian.

I’ve been practicing the 8 Brocades for a few years now, and I can honestly say this program has been a game-changer for my overall well-being. The combination of gentle movements, deep breathing, and meditation has significantly reduced my stress levels, improved my flexibility, and boosted my energy. I feel more balanced, centered, and connected to my body and mind. The 8 Brocades have become an essential part of my self-care routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a holistic approach to health and wellness. Thank you for sharing this ancient wisdom with us!
